KNOW FIMFO - is a group of concerned people from the Upper Delaware River region who want to educate the public about the facts and risks involved in the Northgate Resorts “Camp FIMFO” project.
Despite what Northgate would have you believe, Camp FIMFO promises to be a heavily crowded and high-priced RV resort and Water Theme Park with mountain coaster, chlorine pools and water slides, planned in a known flood zone alongside the Upper Delaware River and the Scenic Byway Route 97.
OUR RIVER IS AT RISK!
• Major risk of sewage contamination from 34,400 gallons of wastewater produced daily
• Chlorine pollution from massive pools and water slides in a known flood zone
• Riverbank erosion possible from excessive river-traffic
OUR QUALITY OF LIFE IS AT RISK!
• Traffic congestion, traffic accidents, and parking lots along Route 97
• Excessive noise & light pollution
• Overused EMS and police resources
OUR LOCAL ECOSYSTEM IS AT RISK!
• Blasting and clear-cutting of trees
• Threats to wildlife, including the American bald eagle, brook trout, and Monarch
• Serious risk of contamination to our water supply
What is FIMFO? How can it harm our community, our river and our economy?
The true scale and ramifications of the project are unknown. What is known, is the negative impacts to the region, river and eco-systems, and the precedent for more development in every hamlet along the river corridor are truly concerning. This project will seriously impact the character of our town.
HOW CAN YOU HELP?
There are a number of ways you can get involved and help support the cause!
“[I] regret that I voted affirmatively to send this to the full committee, because I think there’s just not enough information.” — UDC Town of Tusten representative Susan Sullivan.

“Our approval in no way is telling [the Town of Highland] planning board that ‘you’re good to go, put this thing through.’ … [Planning board members] certainly could require answering those legitimate questions [dissenting members] have before they make a decision,” said Town of Cochecton representative Larry Richardson.
